Welcome!

I am a physicist with a strong passion for understanding things at a deeper level. In this context, I see the path toward “progress” much like the idea described in the first post of this blog: a kind of random walk, where each step offers the possibility of exploring different angles of the universe and the world, with the hope of gradually developing a broader understanding of our surroundings.

In an attempt to revisit and expand my understanding of both the world and the heavens, I decided to take steps in the directions that I find intellectually meaningful and began writing about the various topics I explore and read about. A significant portion of these writings will focus on technical subjects related to, and often at the intersection of, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Statistics, and Machine Learning. At the same time, I also intend to extend the scope of the blog toward subjects that I engage with more philosophically and culturally, including critical theory and psychoanalytic approaches to subjectivity and culture.

When it comes to technical topics, I learn most effectively by explaining ideas to others through a balance of analytical rigor, numerical intuition, and conceptual clarity. I hope to preserve this attitude as a central element of the teaching style reflected in this blog, much as I tried to do throughout my academic career.

As for the non-technical writings, I am interested in reflecting on events and concepts that shape all of us collectively. In an increasingly fast-paced world, I hope these writings can serve as a way of momentarily slowing things down: to draw conclusions, to place our feelings where they belong, and to search for meaning in ways that often no longer seem possible.
